The Outsiders speak to a possible journey or way through life. The journey depicted in the story is more of a reversal or a way back to the innocence lost as a result of the conditioning and socialization process that virtually all of us go through. It is possible to go back if you are not attached to the way things are. If you are willing to let your life as you know it just wash away in the tide of life, then it is possible to free yourself to find a new life of freedom, peace and joy.
